The Art and Craft Market returns to the Quayside this Easter!

The Shoal of Brixham Artists is a group of artisans, including painters, photographers, jewellery creators and crafts people. They have, throughout the winter months, been designing and creating their own works, and to show some of their latest creations, the Art & Craft Market returns to the Quayside underneath the Old Fish Market on Saturdays, between 9am-5pm, from March 22nd through till October.

Come and meet the artists and designers here, or see the Shoal's permanent exhibition at the Breakwater Bistro and Art Gallery, Berry Head Road.

The Island Club, situated in the Baptist Church Hall, by Brixham's bus station and taxi rank, is now open on Friday evenings 6.15 - 7.15pm for children (school year's 3-6) and 7.30pm - 9pm for youth, with further possibilities being considered for the future. It costs just 50p for children and £1 for youth with everything inside then free (except the tuck of course)! With the club set to attract large numbers, young people are encouraged to register soon to ensure their place.

TALL SHIPS CHALLENGER FLEET TO RACE IN TOR BAY

On 28th May, the crews will compete in a long distance coastal race from Weymouth to Brixham, finishing in Tor Bay in the early evening of 28th May. After a days rest, all four Challengers will compete in a series of close-quarter races around ‘markers' placed in Tor Bay on Friday 30th May.

TALL SHIPS CHALLENGER FLEET TO RACE IN TOR BAY

Local young sailors are being given the opportunity to join the Tall Ships Youth Trust's 72 ft ‘round the world' Challenger Yachts when they head to Tor Bay for the inaugural ‘Tall Ships Challenger Race Week'.

What's new for Pirate Day 2008?

After a very successful 2007, the Brixham Buccaneers are limbering up and shivering their timbers for another season of pirate antics and fun for all the family, with events kicking off every Thursday on the dates below:

The Brixham Pirate Day happens every Thursday in Brixham during the holiday season.

On Pirate Day there will be:-

Locals' Rover Ticket To A Greener Journey.

Latest Update.

*Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway have now extended the offer to TQ5 residents, but the form for this can not be downloaded online.

Collect them from Paignton Station on their operating days or contact them on 01803 555872.  Proof of residency will be needed.

The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway are giving away a Local Rover Ticket to nearby residents.

For residents living in the postcode areas of TQ6, TQ4 and TQ3 are being asked to collect their Locals' Rover Ticket today!

The ticket enables the holder to half price travel on through journeys, when travelling in either direction, on selected trains between Paignton and Kingswear. A return ticket is normally £8, but will be available for £4 with the Local Rover Ticket.
