The Brixham Heritage Battery Museum, Fishcombe Road, open every Monday, Friday & Sunday 2 to 4pm.

Also Pirate Walks - Thursday afternoons throughout the Summer 2 to 4.30pm.

TALL SHIPS CHALLENGER FLEET TO RACE IN TOR BAY

Local young sailors are being given the opportunity to join the Tall Ships Youth Trust's 72 ft ‘round the world' Challenger Yachts when they head to Tor Bay for the inaugural ‘Tall Ships Challenger Race Week'.

Wed 14th May - The Brixham Heritage Museum & History Society Lecture ‘ The Origin of Time – Horology' by John Read in the Christian Community Centre from 1.30pm.

Fri 16th May - Celebration Dinner - Come & join the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen in Brixham as they celebrate the last 25th years – meal at the Berry Head Hotel - tickets available from the Fishermen's Mission 01803 859123.

Sat 17th May - Concert at All Saints Church - with the Brixham Orpheus Male Voice Choir and Merchant Staff Band celebrating the last 25 years of the Fishermen's Mission in Brixham 7.30pm.

Sun 18th May - Service of Celebration & Thanks Giving - as the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen in Brixham celebrate their last 25th years - All Saints Church 9.30am (Joined throughout the weekend of celebration by Paul Jarrett).

Fri 23rd to Mon 26th May - Golden Lion Beer & Folk Festival 3rd Anniversary - Live music all throughout or until the ale runs out!

Sat 24th to Sat 31st May - Programme Brixham Heritage Festival.

Sat 24th - 11.15am - Tony Beard will open the Parade led round the Town by Edgar Lawrance.

Through-out the week there will be Clowns Cosmo and Lez the Fez , Juggling, Amazing Wayne Unicyclist, various music events like The South London Concert Band, Popular local group Swashbuckle, The Great Lesley Presley and much more.

12.40pm - The Brixham Heritage Sailing Trawler Race & Rally in the Bay.

Five classes entered & best view from the Breakwater.

 

8.30pm - Teign Valley Stompers music with Firework Spectacular of the week set to Bond Themes.

9.50pm Grand Firework Display.

Sun 25th - 10am to 5pm - The Brixham Heritage Museum 50 th anniversary - open all day with entry & light refreshments at prices of 50 years ago, 1958.

7.30pm - Brixham Theatre - musicians Alan Barnes & Nathan Bray with the Henry Farrell Big Band.

4.30 to 5.30pm - M.I.U a six piece band from Brixham Community College, winners of the Battle of Bands Competition playing 60s & 70s covers with a modern twist.

7pm - The Sea Anglers Club Fishing Competition on the Breakwater Hard. Prizes to be won.

Thu 29th - From 10 to 12noon - Mr Stan Cox rope and net making & Pirates Day.

7pm - Classic Vehicle Rally by the Breakwater.

8pm – Brixham Town Band evening concerts dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of the Brixham Heritage Museum.

Fri 30th - 11.30am - Our Crab Catching Competition for 6-12 year olds & FREE bring a line, bucket & bait & win some prizes between Kings Quay & events pontoon.

7.30pm - Music by UK Staff Band of the Merchant Navy.

Sat 31st - 3pm - The Really Wild Show as seen on BBC TV held in the Scala 4 to 6pm.

7.30 to 9.50pm -The John Shillito Select Six with foot tapping music.

Trawlers Racing 2005 Sat 21st June - The 2008 Trawler Race - We are having some well-known musicians performing from the deck of one of the boats, they will also be performing at the Rugby Club the night before the Race.
 
Sun 22nd June - Lost Seafarers Memorial Service 3pm underneath the Old Fish Market led by Len Scott of the Fishermen's Mission, Brixham.
