Fishermen's Mission Logotrainers

Jim Portus,

Chairman of the Brixham Mission Local Advisory Committee says:

I am running the London Marathon

on April 26th for the Fishermen's Mission. I have a page at

http://www.justgiving.com/jimportus

Deep sea fishing is a hazardous occupation, ten times more dangerous than mining.
Every year there are boat losses and fishermen killed or seriously injured many beyond working again.
The care for survivors, widows and children, can go on for years.
The Mission steps in during tragedy to provide immediate care, material, emotional and pastoral support, as well as offering expert guidance through the benefits' system and sourcing long-term grants.
The mission strives to provide assistance whenever and wherever it is needed, spreading care through over 70 UK ports and harbours.

Now you can help.

Please, if you'd like to sponsor me to run the Flora London Marathon for the ninth time on April 26th 2009, to raise much-needed funds for the Fishermen's Mission, nothing could be easier than to donate on-line at the following link:

http://www.justgiving.com/jimportus

Or you could send a cheque payable to RNMDSF to me
