On Wednesday 28th July the rousing sound of pipers and drummers could be heard all around Brixham harbour, as members of the Hill family saluted the 100th birthday of Dorothy Mable Hill, with the procession along the quayside heading up Overgang to join the planned festivities for Dorothy's centennial celebrations, at Brixham Yacht Club.

Show and rescue

After a busy Torbay Lifeboat Week with events throughout the week, the Torbay Lifeboat Crew and Lifeboat Guild put together a finale on Sunday 25th July with an open day which include raft races, cake auction, stalls and games, tours of the Lifeboat Station and All Weather Torbay Lifeboat, the afternoon ending in the lifeboat crew responding to a ‘Shout' that took them to the rescue of a wake-boarder.
