The Admiral sets sail
Nearly
a month after its opening the Admiral Swimming Centre, has
seen the former Brixham Indoor Swimming Pool, run for 33 years
by Brixham Swimming Club Volunteers, transformed with a £1,000,000
investment into a quality venue with additional attractive
additional features.

The whole experience
of the pool has been updated and upgraded with improved changing
facilities including sparkling new floor tiles, hygienic wall
finishes, showers, toilets, lockers and baby changing facilities,
with the bonus of mirrors and hairdryers for the ladies.

|
The nautical theme runs
through the centre with room names such as the ‘Cabin', which
is an extra changing facility able to cater for disabled users.
With ample space for carers and helpers, it provides a specialist
toilet and shower, with easy poolside access where a hoist is
available. The Cabin can also be used by family groups. |

Once changed the water in the refurbished pool room
is equally inviting, with a new upgraded plant able to keep the
water sparkling, and the warmth of the new air handling system
maintaining a comfortable atmosphere in and out of the water.

In the ‘Saloon' there is a place to sit and watch
poolside through the large viewing windows. Fully carpeted, offering
a broadband connection and an attached Galley with fridge and
microwave, The Admiral Centre Pool can hire out this area with
its own adjacent toilets for a variety of uses including parties!

On the ‘Main Deck', at the front of centre the small
reception desk and office now also has tables and chairs and a
new vending machine to enjoy snacks and access the poolside ‘Gallery'
for spectators. |
With so
many things changing at the new Admiral centre, the ‘Management
and friendly Crew' are determined ‘to retain and enhance the
homely ambience and community spirit users have so enjoyed in
the past. So with the ‘users free car park', check out the Admiral
Centres opening times and go and experience the ‘ wow factor'
if you haven't been down to the pool in a while!
