Santa's back in town!
For
the next few days Santa is putting in an appearance at the
YES - Youth Enquiries Service Grotto on New Rd between 11am-4pm.
|
|
Stationed in his specially
built elves toy workshop, Santa is handing out the toys to
girls and boys via the conveyor belt and chute, with each
present personally named by the elves preparing them, for
the child receiving them.
|
 |
On the first day of his visit, Sat 19th
Dec, the steady flow of visitors saw children opening
their presents, thrilled to receive teddy bears, skipping ropes
and a range of small toys, whilst parents were offered mulled
wine and mince pies. |
|
The elves were also on hand to entertain those waiting
in the Victorian parlour to visit Father Christmas with a Christmas
Colouring Competition and Puppet Panto. The improvised Puppet
shows were delightfully made up to include the names of those
watching and a Jennifer, Will and Karys demonstrated they like
to add a twist designed to highlight the true meaning of Christmas.

|
Putting
the whole experience together for Santa's visit are the Brixham
Young Volunteers and YES staff with Project Manager Chris
Guy saying, “We couldn't have done this without the invaluable
help of Ross Lomas and of course our special guest Santa Claus.”
|
 |
Harry one of the elves said, ”We elves are very
excited, as we've been preparing for this for a long time.” The
grotto can be visited between 11am and 4pm on Sunday 20th,
Mon 21st and Tue 22nd and photos are available on request
of visiting children with Santa as a reminder of the event. |
