SPARKLING ARTWORK
AT BRIXHAM
Chrissie Elsworth has just revealed her
latest work in a vibrant exhibition at Brixham Adult & Community
Learning Centre. She says “I want to show the exuberance and
sparkle that life has. I just paint the things I love, to try
to show the way they make me feel.”

an Adult Learners' Week Award in recognition of the amazing
journey they have made by ‘returning to learning'.

KENN WINS DEVON SPORTS AWARD as COACH OF DISABLED PERFORMERS
Jon Kenn was invited to a presentation
evening at the Tiverton Hotel on Thursday 8th May
where he was short listed for the Coach of Disabled People at
the Devon 2008 Sports Awards.

BRIAN MOTLEY
Brian Motley (aged 74) passed peacefully
away on Tuesday 29th April after a short illness
in hospital.
Brian was a familiar figure around Brixham for the past two
decades.

WATER BASED EXERCISE
FOR ALL
The Brixham Indoor Pool closure has led to a change of class
time for Adult Education courses usually taught on a Wednesday
lunchtime. The Pool Directors have arranged for water space
at Riviera Bay, Mudstone Lane, Brixham to compensate for the
9 month closure.

Aussie cook comes to Brixham
Claire Voutsinas has just returned to Brixham to stay with
her brother and his wife for twelve months. She was born in
Reading, Berkshire and at the age of nineteen she decided, with
a girlfriend, to travel to Australia for £10.
