Summer Spectacular at Eden Park

The children and staff at Eden Park Primary have staged a full scale summer show. The production of Peter Pan has involved two casts each numbering nearly 250 children!

Each cast performed for two nights this week and the audience loved it. Captain Hook, the Lost Boys, the pirates and tribes acted, danced and sang to over a thousand people during the week. The children were amazing and were clearly having a great time up on stage.

The set was impressive by any standards and featured backdrops of Neverland, a lagoon and even a 20ft tall pirate ship which the cast actually stood in.

All the music was live and was provided by the Eden Park rock band. Drums, guitar solos and keyboards, played by children in year 5 and 6, welded the show together and provided a professional feel to the continuity.

Mr Kies the Headteacher said “We are thrilled with the way the show has come together. The children have really enjoyed themselves. You can see their self confidence growing as the week has gone on.”

The show was an original version written by the children and staff in each class. All the children in the school have been involved from the Nursery through to year 6.”

Pictured here are characters including Captain Hook, Tinkerbell, Tonkerbell, a Lost Boy, Plague the Pirate and ‘Ant and Dec' a comedy duo who help tell the story.
