What
is the relationship between the baptism of the Holy Spirit and
people getting saved? Jesus said, When the Holy Spirit is come,
He will reprove the world of sin. He is the active agent
who brings the conviction of sin. Only the Holy Spirit in you
will convince your family, your friends, and the people in the
street of their need for Christ. In our crusades I preach Jesus
as a result there are tears in the eyes of the people when
I make the call to repentance hundreds will pour down from their
seats. And they come so quickly, weeping. People under the
conviction of sin, young people crying because God has touched
their heart! It's not me; it's the Holy Spirit who brings the
conviction of sin. It's the work of the Holy Spirit in us to
bring people to Jesus. We need the Holy Spirit! Anyone can tell
you to repent. Only Jesus can tell you that He loves you,
that He wants to be part of your life, to heal you and change
you.

Far
East Siberia, TV-Crusade Report (13-24 September):
Despite the rain, 7000
came to hear the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ in the
open air stadium in Ussuriysk. Then in Vladivostok, thousands
filled the largest auditorium as 23 churches of all denominations
came together to organise meetings. In Magadan, despite enormous
political pressure from the old-style Communist authorities,
we were able to hold the crusade meetings and witness many powerful
conversions and hear testimonies of lives changed.

Kleipeda,
Lithuania, TV-Crusade Report (11-13 October):
Kleipeda is a sea port
on the Baltic, the third largest city in Lithuania, a small
country the size of Ireland. One of the most ancient people
groups in Europe, it has scarcely ever been independent of nations
more powerful than itself. Now, after emerging from the Soviet
Union, it has come under the European Union.
There was a great
revival here when communism first fell. Since then church growth
has been slow, many have fallen away, and new members are added
just one by one. For ten years there has been a total silence
in evangelism' in Lithuania, the leading pastors told us. We
do our best to keep each other encouraged, but the spiritual
atmosphere closes in over us. Your evangelism here in Kleipeda
has lifted us we have worked together to make it happen and
we have seen the results. Even the advertising before the crusade
was shown on three channels nationwide it has lifted
the position of the churches.
After we left,
the three meetings in Kleipeda (their inspirational praise and
worship, the preaching of faith in Jesus Christ and the miracles
of healing) were shown nationwide on their own TV. This was
our first major crusade held under European law it is possible,
we found a way!

Bulgaria (16-19 November):
Bulgaria was the first
communist country in which David began to evangelise, and it
was because of his experience in Bulgaria that he began his
great Bible smuggling operation in the 1960s that was to lead
to his imprisonment in a communist prison in 1972. David was
also evangelising in Bulgaria in the early 1990s when a powerful
move of the Holy Spirit swept the whole nation a move which
was quickly broken by false teaching and church division which
continue today. But we believe it is time for a new beginning
in Bulgaria, a conviction which was confirmed to David on his
last visit by the powerful miracles of healing which accompanied
the preaching and the call to repentance.
It is in Bulgaria
that we have seen the greatest hunger for God outside Russia
itself and God is answering the cry of the people with powerful
salvation and healing miracles.

David is working harder
than ever to preach the simple, positive Gospel of forgiveness
and reconciliation through Jesus Christ. So far this year
we have held two All-Russia TV crusades; 41 live-TV crusades
in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria and Lithuania; started
broadcasting our evangelism weekly on Das Vierte in Germany
and CNBC Europe; in addition, our evangelism is broadcast every
Sunday morning in Ukraine. David has also held 13 ministry meetings
in Western Europe!

to pray for our TV programmes on Das Vierte and CNBC Europe
that many lives will be changed by the powerful preaching
of the Gospel. You can watch the programmes on CNBC Europe
every Sunday 10:30 (UK) / 11:30 (CET). We were told that
our programmes are among the most popular Christian broadcasts
on the channel.
Our ministry on
secular TV in Europe is particularly important we have
just received viewing figures for our programmes on average
100 times more unbelievers are watching the Gospel and the
miracles shown in our broadcasts on secular TV than believers
watching Christian' TV channels. But we desperately need
the money to pay for it we have to sign a new 2 year contract
costing £30,000 per month! This is in addition to
the evangelistic crusades! The Gospel costs much to us
money, but to Jesus His life!
2. Pray that God
will speak to more Christian businessmen to support us.
Our financial needs are increasing with the European broadcasts
the ministry is growing at an amazing rate. Only in heaven
will we know how many lives have been changed.
