The Island Toddler Group

Following the great success of the Island Club, the leaders of the toddler group at Brixham Baptist Church have decided to adopt its name to re-launch their Friday morning group.

“We felt that parents would recognise the logo and name and be confident that they would be coming to a quality group that their children would enjoy.”

The Friday night Island Club, which started in September 2007, now has over 200 children and teenagers as members, and has increased it's facilities and staffing levels to try to accommodate it's growing waiting list.

On 1st February Brixham Baptist Church's toddler group re-launched as ‘The Island Toddler Group' with some new equipment and activities.

“We now have a designated baby area with appropriate toys, alongside our toys and activities for toddlers. Each week there will be a different activity such as singing, story time, or a craft. We will also be doing ‘something for the grown ups' on a monthly basis, where the adults will get an opportunity to try their hand at something, which will range from scrap-booking to flower arranging! On occasions we have special activities such as our Teddy Bears picnic in April.”

The cost for the session is £1 and includes refreshments for the adults and children and materials for any of the activities. All babies, toddlers, parents and carers are very welcome. 10.00-11.30am Friday mornings at Brixham Baptist Church Hall (next to the taxi rank).
