for the new Season 2007
Shoalstone Pool Open
Day on Saturday May 26th and saw a few take
to the water with the cool, cloudy weather not encouraging swimming
at the start of the season.

Getting ready for
a seasonal swim
Having monitored and
carried out light repairs throughout the winter, the team of
volunteers worked hard in the week running up to the Saturday
May 26th to get everything finished for this year's
opening of Shoalstone Pool.

The group
received 51% of the overall votes made by Co-operative members
in Brixham.

Pools' Raffle
During a coffee morning at the Berry Head Hotel on Wednesday
6th December, tickets were drawn for the raffle whose first
prize was the beautiful quilt made by the Brixham Quilters,
to raise money jointly for Shoalstone Outdoor Swimming Pool
and Brixham Indoor Swimming Pool. |

Cheque presentation
to Friends of Shoalstone
On
Wednesday 11th October, a cheque was presented at the Burton
Pub to the Friends of Shoalstone Pool to added to their fund
raising efforts to maintain Brixham's outdoor swimming pool.

'Friends of Shoalstone' just keep on going!
After a brilliant
summer with many taking advantage of the good weather to enjoy
lazy days at the poolside, Shoalstone's season is now well and
truly at an end, but for its supporters the work goes on!
