Band receives supports from Juniors
“Recently the Riviera
Singers http://www.riviera-singers-brixham.co.uk/
presented Brixham Town Band's junior
group with a very generous cheque for £400. This will
go toward the smart new waistcoats all members wear as well
as increasing their repertoire with modern arrangements of tunes
that they'll enjoy playing and you'll want to hear. A big Thank
You to the ladies of the choir.

Penathlon
2010
On the 25th June 2010,
students from Churston Ferrers Grammar School competed at Torbay
leisure centre in the annual Summer Games. Pupils from all schools
across Torbay are selected to take part in a myriad of sports
such as Athletics, Kabaddi, Rifle Shooting, Archery and Boccia.

Adult students sculpt the coast at Teignmouth TRAIL
Three classes of adult
students attending the Brixham Adult & Community Learning
(ACL) Centre have created sculptures from unwanted materials
to enhance the coastline at Teignmouth this summer.

Wildflower
Meadow at St Mary's Park
Once
the putting green at St Mary's Park was well used but in recent
years the usage went into decline and we were left with a sorry
looking corner of the park with uneven grass.

It's
all Hap'Nin in 2010
The weather this year
was perfect for the Brixham Hap'Nin on Friday 9th and Saturday
10th July, with the crowds enjoying the warm and pleasant temperatures.
Whilst the bands on Friday night were watched by large crowds
from dusk till late in St Mary's Park, on Saturday families
enjoyed picnics and BBQ's, as the line up got underway at midday,
with two Brixham School Choirs performing songs from their latest
musical productions.
