Cultural
'first' for Rowcroft Hospice
Tickets
are now available for this year's most exciting cultural event
in South Devon 's calendar. The Garden
Opera Company will be performing popular favourite La bohème
open air in the beautiful, award winning grounds of Rowcroft
Hospice on Sunday 2 nd September at 5.30pm.

Funday Re-booted"
We're
bigger, we're better and we're re-booting with free fun for
all the family!
For the
fifth year running, our group of local young people called HYPA
(Helping Young People Achieve) have secured funding to put on
a day of free fun for everyone in the town.

Weekend
manoeuvres at the Battery
Last weekend (9th
& 10th June) Battery Gardens provided the setting for the
Heritage Battery Groups presentation of the Battery through
the ages. On Saturday they were helped in re-creating a sense
of the past with Blitz and Peace's providing musical interludes
with ukulele and vocal duets.

'Friends' are taking
care of Furzeham Green
Walking around the
Green at Furzeham, you can appreciate the many improvements
made to the landscape in the last year, including; re-landscaping
the former pitch and putt area, removing the central rusty fence,
re-pointing and restoring entrance pillars, installing 3 litter
bins and 2 notice boards, and restoring the sea view from Bonsey
Gardens (rose garden).

Unity

Brixham, Trevor Leaman's research work recently led him to uncover
some of the past history of the vessel 'Our Unity'.

who had ever wanted to get involved with the world of boats
and sailing as South Devon Marine invited the public to Try

Multi -colour Pirates!
Going to town on
a Thursday, you can't help but bump into the odd pirate! They
are making their presence in the town a regular feature on Thursdays
as more and more people are joining in the fun, dressing for
the occasion, or hanging out the Jolly Rogers to signal their
support for the Pirate Theme Day.

Brixham
Sea Rangers S.R.S.Churchill
Brixham Sea Rangers
S.R.S. Churchill was formed in 1941 by A. Hopkins and A.E. Armitage.
They both retired in 1969/70 after giving the Crew an excellent
start with two wooden Gigs, 1 Dinghy and our lovely Headquarters
on the Breakwater Hard.
